Niklas Füllkrug will have a key role for Dortmund next season, new boss Nuri Sahin has confirmed.
New Borussia Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin has confirmed that Niklas Füllkrug remains a key part of his plans, along with Serhou Guirassy, who joined from Stuttgart, Ufabet Germany reported on Tuesday.
Borussia Dortmund have signed Girassi on a four-year deal from Stuttgart for €18.5m, UFABET as one of four forwards in BVB’s line-up alongside Füllkrug, Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko, with Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl hinting the club could offload some of their surplus players.
While Germany striker Füllkrug has been linked with AC Milan and Atletico Madrid. Šahin insists the 31-year-old will play a key role in his plans.
‘Füller knows what I think of him, he was my team-mate in Bremen and I appreciate that very much. We want to have the best possible team and in my plans Füllkrug and Guirassy both play an important role,’ Šahin said.
Borussia Dortmund signed Füllkrug last summer from Werder Bremen, and he immediately established himself as the club’s first-choice striker. The 31 year old scored 15 goals and assisted a further ten during his debut season with the Black and Yellows. He also impressed for Germany at the European Championship this summer.
